PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING TO PLAY GROUNDZERO:
We are no longer hiring acts that play other local venues (OCEANSIDE AREA) within 3 months prior or post to playing GroundZero. We are a listening venue with no other form of generating revenue aside from charging an advance ticket price. Time and time again we find ourselves in the unfortunate position of
having acts play our venue shortly after or before playing a local restaurant, brew pub, etc... where no cover charge exists. We can't compete with this scenario.
We will support musicians who love what we are doing, understand our predicament and believe in our philosophy of "music first". You won't be competing with large screen tvs, people talking during your set, and "indifferent" patrons who could care less if you're playing.
We have created a venue that is unique and special. Artists love playing here because they play for an attentive audience of intelligent listeners. GroundZero is run by musicians who understand both sides of the business. We understand that as an artist you are motivated to gig as much as possible.
